Hello everyone, and happy new year! I hope you all have great ambitions for this year! One element I want to add to try adding to the blog is spotlighting some of my favorite places in Milwaukee. The first place I'll list is Yokohama. Yokohama is a ramen and karaoke bar in Milwaukee with a short yet delightful menu of ramen and other Asian inspired dishes.
I love their logo man (printed on all the glasses) and have seen stickers of him around the city. We got there right when the doors opened so there were not a lot of people there, but by the time we left, just after an hour later, the place was almost filled!
We ordered onigiri and sake as appetizers. For the main dishes, I ordered the kimchi ramen and Ryan the mushroom ramen. The ramen bowls were both wonderful, though I do not like cabbage at all (I confused kimchi with pickled ginger, which I do enjoy). We swapped bowls halfway through so we could each try more flavors!
This place has a chill atmosphere and is great if you enjoy Asian food. I definitely want to make a stop back in 2018! The next time we go, I really want to try the beef ramen and the octopus tempura! If you're interested, check out their menu here.
Hi my name is Emilee and these are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
