Last week was pretty smooth sailing! I started a new workout routine since the 5k is all done now. I want to make sure I stay in shape since I'm no longer running almost every day!
Because I want to both tone and gain strength I decided to start weight lifting! I found a program called The Transformation Workout Plan and have been using it as a guideline for when I workout.
There was a really beautiful sunset last Tuesday :)
Part of my Anatomy and Physiology grade requires answering questions on an application called Top Hat. Here are two of my favorites from last week!
Wednesday night my friends and I took a trip to a discount Halloween store to look for costumes and decorations! Unfortunately we didn't find much in the costume department. I was a little mad that all the female costumes at that particular store were things like "sexy cop" and "cute private school student" while guys had options like "giant tape measure" and "crayon box." Not to mention the cheapest costumes were like $30....
After spending a good two hours in the store (although the options were silly, we did have a blast playing with the toy swords and examining stick-on facial hair), we walked up to the Bayshore Town Center to find dinner. I was madly craving a quesadilla and went to Qdoba, then joined my friends in a burger place. There was an adorable baby a couple tables away that would not stop staring at us. Her parents kept turning her high chair around but she kept twisting around to stare! It was hilarious!
Thursday I continued on with day three of my workout plan. My legs were still sore from Tuesday but I managed to finish all the sets! It feels so good once a workout is done! In addition to working out more, I've been trying to eat more protein. According to MyFitnessPal I've been falling short by almost 30 grams each day! BAH :O
I stopped between classes to admire the fall leaves :)
For my workout Friday I did arms again, focusing on the triceps region!
Maybe once a week I check my mailbox. To my surprise, this time when I checked it there was a pair of socks sitting inside! There was no sort of label on them or anything!!
After asking everyone I knew, I finally found out my boyfriend left them there for me because the last time he was visiting he noticed that most of mine had holes in the toes! How sweet :)
Friday I also sucked it up and went to math tutoring. I really don't feel like I need to be there, but my professor insists I go because my initial assessment (like a pretest for the course to see what we already knew) was low. Along the way though my grumpiness was lifted because the weather was just so wonderful!
Afterwards I went for a walk through campus and bought some sushi.
I had a roll with smoked salmon and avocado with unagi sauce drizzled on top!
Saturday morning I alternated between playing Sims 4 and studying my lab manual for Anatomy and Physiology. I was so tempted to just play Sims all morning though! I started building houses in a neighborhood modeled after some of the super rich homes in Shorewood and it was a blast! It was a nice break every now and then!
Around noonish my friends and I walked down to a shopping street and went to Walgreen's and Good Will. I had a coffee creamer emergency (I was completely out and had to buy individual tablespoon-sized cups from the cafeteria)! At Good Will we looked at the Halloween costume selections and I also tried on a few dresses but none of us ended up buying anything.
It was a beautiful day! I love fluffy clouds!
In the evening we grabbed a late dinner from the cafeteria than watched the movie Trainwreck at the theater inside out dorm. It was pretty cute!
Sunday morning I woke up early and went walked to church with my friend. We did a lot of walking that morning because once we got back to campus, she realized she left her purse there! Minimal complaints though because like the week before, the weather was wonderful. I love fall weather so much!
The rest of Sunday was spent doing homework, reviewing for my upcoming math exam, and studying the bones and muscles for anatomy and physiology. I took a mini break to watch the first episode of Scrubs on Netflix and it was pretty good!
I had a wonderful week and weekend :)
