This weekend my wonderful boyfriend came to visit me! We've wanted to go to the Third Ward for awhile and today we finally went. When we got there though, we were surprised to see an art festival was taking place! Awesome!
We started off the day with a trip to Roast Coffee Company. It was the closest one we could find on our way to the Third Ward and turned out to be wonderful!
Here is the art festival! No art beyond the beginning tent (which was wide open and couldn't be avoided in the photo) will be shown here out of respect for the artists.
While there I fell in love with a painting of cartoon clouds and promised the artist that I would come back and buy it some day! I took a business card and a photo so I wouldn't forget!
Here are some photos of the downtown!
While exploring some shops I came across an awesome little store called Pendleton. The color scheme of the entire store was really pretty!
Had to take pictures with the bronze statue!
Visited the Milwaukee Public Market and another Collectivo Coffee!
Down on the River Walk!
We had home cooked food for dinner: quesadillas with all sorts of goodies! Yum!
Then it was time to visit the beach! Lake Michigan is always cold, but this time of year even more so! We went out into the water and it was freezing!! Very refreshing to the soul though...
Time for faces....
and time for scenery!
What a wonderful weekend! :)
