Since I knew I'd be eating out a lot, I started the weekend with an hour long workout at the gym. It felt great! I was crazy happy while on the elliptical because I was mentally planning dances to all the songs I listened to.
After working out, Ryan and I met up for lunch at Chipotle. That place is amazing.
I love tacos! They were so photogenic too! :D
After Chipotle we went back to the dorm to hang out and do homework. Super fun.
Then night time came and Ryan, my friends, and I went out to eat at the Safe House!
It's a spy themed restaurant that requires a password to get in! If you don't know it then you have to do something silly on camera at the front door and people inside get to watch you! It's nothing too embarrassing though. We just had to hold hands and sing ring-around-the-rosy.
We had to wait almost an hour to get in, but the building entertained us the entire time! The walls are covered with artworks of their spy mascot and various paintings and posters, all super-agent and spy themed! There were also lots of things to discover...
Such as this fellow in the ladies bathroom. A piece of advice on Trip Advisor said to try and touch the heart, and what a shock followed! Air pressure burst out of the floor and scared us half to death!! There were also lots of little rooms and doors to mysterious places. It was a blast to explore!
I ordered the Cajun burger. It was pretty hot, but I love spicy food!
I highly recommend visiting the Safe House at least once! It's a very hopping and exciting place! The password is also hidden somewhere on the inside of the restaurant. We refused to leave until we found it!
Saturday morning Ryan and I took a walk in the woods. All of the trees had lost their leaves but it was still very pretty to be outside, not to mention the weather was great. What's with all this heat in November? The temperature certainly doesn't feel like the end of fall!
Here's some more color!
Ryan's camera takes such amazing photos!
We had a deep discussion day. You need those every once in awhile! It was super refreshing!
On Sunday afternoon my friends and I went to the mall at Bayshore. We sniffed all the holiday scents at Bath and Body Works and by the time we walked out we had a cloud hanging over us!
Our longest stop was at Barnes and Noble. I absolutely adore that place! It's so much fun to walk around and just see all the different books there are. They know have a very large selection of coloring books for adults, along with books of drawing and writing prompts. Lovin' it!
While out I bought my first ever beanie hat. Its ombre and has a pouf on top!
For dinner we went to Sprechers and ordered burgers and pizza. I had margarita pizza for the first time in forever. I added to my list of "recipes to make someday", which will hopefully be while I'm home over winter break!
And that sums up my weekend! I went so many places and ate lots of good food. It was great!
Hi my name is Emilee and these are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
