I started today with a protein packed breakfast in preparation for tennis. I had whole wheat toast, peanut butter, and scrambled eggs. I haven't made anything for breakfast lately other than toaster waffles, so the switch up this morning was kind of nice!
I'm an early riser, so while waiting for 9am to arrive I read a few chapters of "The Happiness Project". I'm enjoying it a lot so far! It makes me think about my own life and gives me ideas on how to make my life happier as well. I really recommend reading it.
When Ryan picked me up at 9 we went straight to the tennis courts. The weather was perfect for tennis: not very sunny with a light breeze. We focused on just keeping a volley since neither of us are very good and found that we improved a lot since the last time we played!
After tennis we went to Chocolate Temptations to get drinks and chocolate covered pretzels. Ryan ordered a chocolate soda float and I got a butter rum latte.
We took them to the cheese park and ate them while sitting on the swings.
After the park we went back to his house and finished watching the first Avengers movie. It was one of the most enjoyable action movies I've seen! We also did some searching for apartments in Milwaukee since that's coming up in a few months!
When I got home I called all my friends to talk about the idea of setting up a joint garage sale to sell some of our old things we won't need for college. Then I started sorting the clothes, books, and old video games around my room into sort and keep piles.
Later that evening my sister announced that we were going to the SkyVu to see the most recent Avengers movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
I haven't been to the SkyVu since I quit working there, but It was a nice experience. Like most movie places we spent a bajillion dollars on tickets and concessions. The popcorn disappeared pretty quick and we talked for about an hour before it was dark enough for the movie to start.
I followed my outdoor movie tradition of falling asleep after the first twenty minutes and waking up somewhere in the middle of the film. Despite missing a large chunk of important information, the movie was still very good!
We got home around 11pm and all went straight to bed.
Hi my name is Emilee and I am a kinesiology undergraduate student. These are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
