School is winding down! As of right now there are only three days left!! Due to that school has been super hectic and crazy, yet simultaneously boring and uneventful. Is that possible?
One class I've been cranking out projects in is my ceramics class. I had six projects to make and four days of wet clay to do it. Did I make it??
Yes I did!! Here is a teapot to support my claim!
My AP Biology teacher also decided that we needed to have a "science fair". She told us to find experiments to conduct over a series of three days and then make a presentation to present to the class. However, these projects didn't have to be entirely biology!
My friend and I chose to study the correlation between beverage color and perceived taste. We bought three bottles of strawberry carbonated water and colored them three different colors: red, lime green, and purple. We then tested a class of freshman to see what they perceived!
Here's what they looked like!
Although I had my doubts, our experiment supported our hypothesis that color affects perceived taste! 90% of the students believed that red was strawberry or cherry, lime green was lime or green apple, and that purple was grape! Who would have thought?
My 2D art teacher also chose me to draw zentangles on a silk tie for our principal. I don't know if it can be seen in the photo, but I hit little tamagotchi characters in the designs! Sometime this week I hope to color it, but that will depend on how much free time I can find!
Here's the tie:
The public library is also continuing to add superhero items around the children's room! Here's me grabbing a selfie next to a Batman cutout! There are superheroes all over now, but Batman is the only superhero movie I've seen so far, so I chose him to pose next to.
Also, because I'm super-duper human, I tried baking banana bread. And failed. It happens though! I didn't take a picture of the finished bread because it looked so ugly. Apparently my batter was too thin and the chocolate chips I put in sunk to the bottom and got glued to the pan. Oops!
It still tasted pretty good, but I'll definitely try again in the future!
