I started feeling better from having my wisdom teeth out on St. Patrick's Day! My mom made us from fancy French press coffee and then we went to St. Vincent's to pick up some art supplies. While there I spotted a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine suitcase! I was so tempted! I also found a really cool children's book called The Marvelous Journey Through the Night. When we got back I was happy to see some tulips sprouting through the ground!
I played more of that addicting Stardew Valley game in the afternoon. Then Ryan picked me up so we could go out and about on the square before the St. Patrick's Day parade. We went to a chocolate shop called Chocolate Temptations to get a butter rum latte and to the candy store Rainbow Confections for a chocolate peanut butter sundae. Yum!! We walked around the square while waiting for the parade. The sky was such a pretty blue!
The parade was adorable and exactly what I expected it to be!
The day was a little too windy for this leprechaun!
Ryan caught me a Jimmy John's sandwich! I love their little baby sample sizes! Sometimes I wish I could just order this size normally!
Then there was this fellow at the end of the parade! No idea what he felt the need for...
Ryan and I traveled around the square some more to enjoy the day. Although it was chilly, the sky was so gosh darn blue and beautiful! :)
In the evening there were no males in our house so we decided to have a girl's night! My mom, sister, and I did facials, pedicures, and manicures while listening to happy music and drinking oblong tea. It was so great to just relax and have girl talk. My mom painted Easter egg-like designs on my nails in honor of the upcoming holiday!
The following morning I tried really hard to work on anatomy since I've fallen behind in the readings. My method of taking notes is very time consuming! I finally finished the chapter on the lymphatic system yesterday and in total it took nearly eight hours!! They are extremely detailed though.
In the afternoon, Ryan and I went to Walmart to pick up some eggs to dye along with some pasta for lunch! While there we noticed that this guy snuck in too!
We made a very packaged meal with noodles and jarred sauce. We added a lot of spices to try and give the sauce more flavor, which worked a little bit. One of the many things I want to do this summer is make tomato sauce from scratch!
Next year once I actually have a kitchen I imagine pasta will become a staple because noodles are so inexpensive! Finding a variety of sauces will be key to keeping it interesting.
We gave a little to the dogs as well, which made them very happy!
Then we made a treat that I was inspired from by a pin on Pinterest: sherbet floats! You take any flavor of sherbet that suits your fancy and then add ginger ale on top! It's the best thing ever!!
After eating so much, we decided it would be a good idea to get out for a bit. We went to a nearby park to take nature photos. Although the day was bleak and I wasn't expecting much, some of them turned out really well! Prepare for photo-mania...
Now some glamour shots of a playground...
After taking nearly 200 photos between the two of us, we decided to spend the rest of our time together swinging on the swings. It was super relaxing and we talked about a lot of important things and shared quite a few laughs as well.
I'm back at school now, and getting back into the swing of college has been slow but I'm getting there!! I hope your weeks are going well!
