I waited until Sunday to finish the last day of week six for my 10k trainer. I got to the gym and started my workout, but shortly after I noticed that the seventh Harry Potter movie was playing a few TVs away. It was really difficult to see it from where I was, so I stopped and started so I could run right in front of it. At the time time I was listening to the fourth book on tape, so I got a little jumbled at times as to what was happening where!
After my workout I got down to business. I did homework for the entire rest of the day. It was rather tiring, but I figured out how to work my Bluetooth speaker, and the tunes definitely helped! I had a slight mishap while setting it up: I accidentally connected my phone to a Flip speaker next door and my music started playing in someone else's dorm room!! Oops!
When evening finally came around I decided to spend it watching Friends. I tried making figures with some sticky pom poms that my mom send me awhile back and it was very relaxing!
Monday morning I caught up on Walden for my wilderness class. I have very strong, mixed feelings about these essays. I won't share them here though. Since next week is spring break, I'm trying to eat up the rest of my bread. I have a loooong way to go!
Campus was very nice and sunny! :)
After working out I tried some fancy health juice from the Restor. It was a juice blend of apples, grapes, and basil leaves. I've been wanting to try it for a long time and the taste was manageable.
Tuesday was absolutely gorgeous. It was almost 60 and everyone went around without a jacket. I wore my winter coat to my first class and was sweating so bad! I fixed that before going to the rest of them!
It was so nice out that some friends and I decided to get ice cream and sit outside. There were people playing guitar and singing. We also tried to get one friend to go and talk to a guy she thought was cute. She tried a super smooth "hey" on her way to throw away a napkin.
In the evening we all went to zumba to blow off steam before midterms the rest of the week. It was really fun and only our dance major friend actually pulls off the moves in fluid way. The rest of us do our best while laughing at each other!
After our morning exam the next day a friend and I got some food and tea before our next class. I'm growing very fond of super fruity tea. I was never really a tea person, but the two I've found so far are Tazo Passion tea and Gala tea from Collectivo Coffee.
Then in the evening we went to Belair again. I moderated my food intake this time to avoid a total food coma. I can now add the "gringo" and "urban surfer" tacos to my list of recommended items!
This "Como se dice 'rad poncho man'" poster completely made my evening!
Thursday was my last busy school day before the weekend. I finished up a lot of work and already received two of my exam grades! So far so good! To celebrate our almost last night before spring break, some friends and I went to get ice cream at Cold Stone. I got a special called "cookie dough'nut you want some." It was really good but my stomach hurt afterwards. We were totally photobombed!
Friday I went to my only class for the day, then went back to my tower and hauled all my belongings down to the lobby to wait for my dad. He helped me carry everything out to the car and both hampers I took with me ended up cracking/ripping due to the strain of all my things!
We stopped at Buffalo Wild Wings on the drive back for fried pickles, wings, and salad. The server was extremely efficient and our drinks were never empty! We got home in one piece and I was able to see my dogs again. It was so nice to see their little faces!
The rest of my family came home and we made Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner. One of the thin crusts had a hole and it dripped into the oven and caused a ton of smoke! We had to periodically open the open and scrape the goo out of the bottom to appease the smoke detectors!
Then we spent the rest of the night watching Ghost Adventures and the news and just talking and enjoying being all together again! It's good to be home and I can't wait for spring break adventures!
Hi my name is Emilee and I am a kinesiology undergraduate student. These are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
