It was a beautiful day! The weather is finally starting to feel like spring, and I had great company for today's adventures!
Today my boyfriend and I practiced our cooking skills. We made Sesame Garlic Stir-Fry Noodles with Tofu! You can find the original recipe here.
The only differences from the original were the type of noodle and type of vinegar. We didn't have rice wine vinegar and the store didn't sell udon noodles, so we used apple cider vinegar and whole wheat spaghetti noodles instead.
Here's how it turned out!
It was yuuuuummmmmy! I'm no longer a vegetarian, but I still love cooking and eating tofu! It was a tad bit spicy, so if we make this again I'll either reduce or omit the red pepper flakes.
However, the spice didn't stop us from eating a ton. I'm not sure how many servings the original recipe was supposed to make, but we ate almost all of it!
Since we love our animal friends, we shared an un-spiced noodle with Tippy.
She's so cute!!
In the end we decided to rate our rendition of this recipe as a 4 out of 5. It's definitely a keeper. Yay, a successful cooking experience! (Unlike the pancakes we made last weekend...too much baking soda...icky!)
After eating we went on a long walk. We took a few pictures (and by a few I mean 192) of nature and animals we saw along the way. Here's one of my favorites! This is some sort of flowering tree.
We also walked all the way out to a farm the take pictures of some very curious cows. Two of them walked all the way across the field to come check us out!
Cows are so cute! The second one had very interesting spots on it's neck! Tippy was also curious about the cows. She went right up to the fence to sniff one, and the black cow leaned down to sniff her. Then she sneezed and they both freaked out!
The day finished up with helping my mom back pizza (something I hope to make on my own in the near future) and studying for my AP Biology test tomorrow! High school is almost done! Just 27 more school days!!
Hi my name is Emilee and these are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
