This is my second-to-last recap until I am back to current events! I love November because it is my birthday month and because I love Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was cool enough to receive its own recognition, so here is what else happened in November!
MY 21st BIRTHDAY
This November I turned 21! I took non-serious birthday selfies before being a responsible adult and still going to all my classes for the day. I am the first of my friends to turn 21, so it wasn't too crazy! We went to the taco restaurant so I could get my birthday burrito and margarita and then my boyfriend and I drink venues in the Third Ward. When we got back later that night my roommates had baked and left goofy balloons all over the apartment!
Usually going to labs is a pain, but this month we actually did some cool experiments!
COOKING DEMONSTRATION WITH ALAMELU
This amazing woman was on my college campus and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch her cooking demo. The dishes were so good I bought her cookbook the same night! We only got tiny sample plates because there were so many people, but the food was so good I could have eaten it all on my own.
My roommates and I had a mini friendsgiving the night before we all left for break. It was two days before payday, so we made due with what we had! I made mashed potatoes for the first time; other foods that made an appearance were vegetable soup, macaroni and cheese, pickles, and mint M&Ms!
SIGNS OF CHRISTMAS
My roommate and I spotted our first Christmas tree and had to stop for a photo! Since then we've taken many a photos with trees and I will try and make a compilation at the end of the season.
I have now procrastinated studying for finals long enough...thanks for reading!
Hi my name is Emilee and I am a kinesiology undergraduate student. These are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
