Goodness, Weebly has been down forever! Every time I tried loading the page the past week it never came up. How strange!
Anyway, college life has been keeping me plenty busy. In this post I'll share my adventures from last week!
The Monday I got back from Monroe I was very discombobulated! I spent three hours in the car, had an hour to unpack, then went to class. It felt very strange! I enjoyed good food though. Part of my birthday present from my parents was a trip to the grocery store! :)
I'm loving these Bai5 waters. I've been super dehydrated lately and flavored water always helps me to drink more!
Monday night my suitemates surprised me with a mini birthday celebration since I was away on my actual birthday! They bought sparkling cider, birthday cake oreos, goldfish, and gave me a sweater. They're the sweetest!
Tuesdays are less busy days for me so I had a lot of time to walk around and enjoy the sights around campus.
I also did a super intense workout at the gym! I ran for awhile and then went to the weight room to work on legs. Afterwards I was really sore but felt successful! Working out makes any day feel better! Back at the dorm I found a card from my grandma in the mailbox! :)
I showered and then took a mini break. I used it to make my first cup of coffee of the day and paired it with chocolate then watched Scrubs on Netflix. Coffee infused chocolate is awesome! Also trying to cut back on coffee is very hard!
I'm also happy to say that I've been able to welcome an old book series back into my life: Harry Potter!!! I decided to finally reread the series and its great so far. The first book is so fluffy and lighthearted!
For dinner my friend and I went to Qdoba to support the Milwaukee Make-A-Wish foundation!
We ended the evening with an additional study break and watched Bridget Jones's Diary. It was super cute! Unfortunately in the middle it was interrupted by a fire alarm which was no fun.
The next couple days I did a lot of homework and studying. I've been trying to get as much out of the way as I can so I won't have a lot to do over Thanksgiving break. I did take breaks to go to the gym, but for the most part I was typing away at the computer.
Fall campus is beautiful! (have I mentioned that before?)
Fun fact: last week I dissected a sheep brain in my anatomy lab. It was kind of gross but mostly awesome! I also discovered that it's possible to make instant soup with my Keurig! I have a new favorite meal now.
Below is what four hours of math homework looks like. See all the papers in the stack?? Crazy!
Thank you coffee and coloring for keeping me sane! (just kidding) I'm really liking the all the coloring books for adults that are coming out now. They're really relaxing!
The school week ended with lots of food (a good note in my book)! In my leisure class we're giving group presentations of vacation trips (an awesome assignment that feels just a bit elementary) and the Italy group brought in cookies. They're all supposed to be the same type but they turned out differently!
Later on a friend and I ate dinner at the Gasthaus and caught up on life. My sandwich had guacamole (I picked it just for the guacamole) and tasted fantastic.
It was a very busy and colorful week, now for the weekend!!
Hi my name is Emilee and I am a kinesiology undergraduate student. These are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
