Today Ryan hung out with me in Milwaukee before leaving to volunteer at a Tough Mudder run. The first place on our agenda was Mayfair mall! Since books are amazing and inspiring, Barnes and Noble was our primary stop once we got there!
We spent almost two hours in the store looking at books ranging in topic from psychology to motivational to home decor to coloring books! I didn't buy any because my finances are low but I took photos of all the ones that I want to read someday. Once I get a library card life will be good!
Inspiration from a coloring book!
We also went into a store that sold board games and discovered all kinds of themed classics! I added several to my "to buy" list for when I actually have moolah. There was also a Big Bang Theory themed Clue game that went: Who made Sheldon mad? Where did they do it? What did they do?? Awesome!!
We got hungry from all the walking around and decided to go find some lunch. While looking for a place to nom we saw this giant horse statue outside of a Chinese restaurant!
On our walk through the parking lot we discovered a Cheesecake Factory! That place is the best! Poor Ryan had never been to one before and thought it was an actual factory that produced cheesecake. I insisted we eat there so he could discover the wonders of what it actually is.
We ate the complementary bread and shared an Italian pizza. By the end we were so full that we had to take our cheesecake to go!
After lunch we decided to go to Shorewood and walk amongst the big fancy houses! I tried to non creepily take sneak photos to use for house building inspiration on Sims. Shorewood is also right next to the lake so we got nice shots of that too.
Matching style shoes :)
While driving around after our walk we stumbled upon a kite festival! There is always so much going on here in Milwaukee! We parked the car and walked around the park.
Then we went down by the water's edge because the lake is beautiful.
For dinner we went to a colorful taco restaurant called Belair. Although known for their tacos, we decided to share an order of fajitas instead. They were super yummy!
We ended the night playing bowling at the Union. Ryan won the first match by a long shot and the second by an even longer shot! I'll let you know though that the first four rounds we were tied pretty close! Then I lost again. That's okay though because I feel that my bowling skills improved!
It was a wonderful and colorful day spent in good company!
Hi my name is Emilee and these are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
