My classes are picking up the pace! I won’t ramble about work and studying though because that’s not interesting. My roommate and I went to an animated film festival on campus. We saw 18 different films on an array of subjects and for the most part they were great, but there were a couple creepy ones at the end that I don’t want to dwell on. I took my first mental health day of the semester and skipped physics to go to Qdoba with my lab partner.
Ryan and I stopped at the local City Market for coffee and my latte was so wonderful that I want to go back to try their food menu. Meanwhile my future roommates and I continued our apartment search. We had rotten luck during last weekend but still have one in mind from a previous tour that we like. I also discovered a Tardis inside the student union! I was glad to see it but curious about what extraterrestrials would want to visit our campus.
This week Ryan and I tried a restaurant called the Buddha Lounge. It serves Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese food. We went during happy hour during which all appetizers were half off. Score! I also conducted some baking experiments trying to use up a nondairy creamer I didn’t like enough to use in coffee. These tests were met with moderate success (pancakes and muffins).
Spring greeted us this year with a snowstorm. The only okay thing about that was someone made the largest snowman I’ve ever seen in my life outside the dorms! With midterms, underway, the entire campus looks like the walking dead. Almost every passerby has a blank face and is running on autopilot. They will soon be over though!
Hi my name is Emilee and these are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
