My boyfriend and I had another cooking opportunity this morning! I chose a yummy looking pin from my abundant pinterest page for us to make. Today we made French Toast Roll-ups! The original recipe can be found here.
Like last time. we didn't have all the ingredients listed. We used both white and wheat bread, and chose blueberries, cream cheese, and chocolate PB2 as our fillings.

I'm not sure if you can tell, but our egg mixture might look a little different than what it's supposed to. We had another deviation from the original recipe because my boyfriend had a mix up with the directions. He put the sugar and cinnamon in the egg mixture instead of leaving it out to dunk the sticks in after they were cooked!
It didn't matter though. We dunked the rolls in the cinnamon egg mix, cooked them, then dunked them again in just plain sugar and cinnamon. Super flavorful!
Here's how they turned out after cooking (the photo is super dark because the plate is sitting on the stove):
They were pretty good, but very sweet! The sweetness was due to our errors though, and without sugar in the egg mixture they probably would have been even better!
Our filling choices prove to be a pleasant combination and they were filling for about four hours.
We rated our rendition of the recipe as 3.5 stars out of 5. If they weren't so sugary (again, due to our errors), it probably would have been a 4 out of 5.
Despite some mix ups it was a pretty successful cooking experience!
Tippy was very certain she'd like french toast too, but we thought it would be too rich for her. Instead, we scrambled up the remaining sugar-egg mixture and let her have some of that instead. She gobbled it right up!!
