Holy mackeral has college life been keeping me busy! It's already October and midterms are coming up in a couple of weeks! Since my last post I've mostly been going to class and doing homework, but I've managed to do a little campus and city exploration.
Here is an absolutely gorgeous view from on campus:
Days with nice weather make me so happy!
The last couple weeks in my anatomy lab we've been studying bones, and I've found my favorite: the patella! Our next exam is all about identifying bones so they've been on my mind a lot lately.
Proof of bones on the mind... (O.O)
I have so many assignments and things going on that I had to buy a bigger planner! If I have some free time in my life in the near future I'll try to review it! Also, my coffee habit has gone from mild appreciation to wild rampage (I drink about 4 cups a day now)!!
I've been trying new drinks from the different grocery stores on campus.
I particularly like the neuro carbonated waters! Also while perusing the store I found caramel apple sucks for apple flavors other than green apple! Awesome!! (^.^)
Sometimes when I have downtime I madly reorganize my dorm room. The other day while doing so, I became dissatisfied with my Keurig cup storage and decided to embark on a mini art project!
For some reason I'd been saving the paper bag from when Ryan and I went to Trader Joe's, so instead of letting it sit around useless I re-purposed it! I give you.......the fancier covered coffee box!!
Here's the starting materials. Sorry Great Value, but your box doesn't make my desk look pretty.
And the finished product!
I think it looks pretty cool! It's even nicer filled with coffee though :)
I've also been trying to back into shape ASAP for an upcoming 5k I signed up for! I signed up rather last minute and maybe should have waited until I'm better at running long distances, but whatever! A slow time won't upset me. I'll just be happy if I can finish without walking!
On my way out of the gym the other morning we had some creepy fog on campus again. Perfect for the beginning of October!
While between campus and a meeting I walked around campus and came across a sushi place!! Who would have thought there would be one on campus?? And, even better, it was all completely cooked!
This is a sushi roll with shrimp, smoked salmon, avocado, carrots, and unagi sauce. Yummy!
Last but not least, a report on last weekend's big adventure off campus! A bunch of friends and I got tickets to go to the MKE film festival and the Oriental Theater! It was absolutely amazing!!
After the festival we went back to the dorms and had an awesome 80's movie night pajama party!!
Hi my name is Emilee and I am a kinesiology undergraduate student. These are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
