Ryan's sister got married this weekend. Everything about it was beautiful and I loved being there!
Before leaving for the wedding though, I had another morning at home. I spent most of the time taking photos of my pets and meeting up with my library coworkers.
I tried a kind bar for the first time. It was the dark chocolate mocha kind and it was delicious!
I was also reunited with my old fuzzy hat. It attracted the attention of my sister's cat, who otherwise pays me no notice!
Saturday was the wedding! It was a gorgeous day too!
After the ceremony, Ryan and I drove to the nearby Paoli and bought pie! We tried blueberry pie. It was definitely not what I thought when I heard blueberry pie, but was very good nonetheless. To me it looked more like pumpkin pie with blueberries!
The reception was very pretty. The speeches were fantastic and the first dances were adorable!
Ryan and I didn't stay at the reception for too long. He wasn't feeling super well and we were also assigned the task of taking care of his sister's chihuahua while they were away!
Meet Ralph! He was a very nice dog to look after. Most of the night he just cuddled up in the blankets on the couch and would ask when he had to go out by pulling on the curtain by the back door.
Good morning Ralphie!
The next morning (my actual birthday) Ryan and I went out for coffee at a super cute little shop called Firefly Coffee House. It's located in Oregon and I definitely want to go back there someday! We ordered the special to share, an orange mocha.
We also went out to breakfast at an awesome place called Holstein Cafe. All the ingredients in the meals were fresh and tasted fantastic! We'll go back sometime to try out the entrees!
Ryan ordered the Americana Scramble and I had the Basil-Pesto Veggie Skillet.
After that we took a walk in the surrounding area and eventually headed back to Monroe.
At 6:15 this morning I woke up to pack all my belongings back into the car for the early drive with my mother back to Milwaukee.
I made it back just in time for my first lecture of the day!
This weekend traveling was wonderful and beautiful, but it's time to get back to reality. What a great first week and weekend of November!
Hi my name is Emilee and I am a kinesiology undergraduate student. These are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
