The past week has flown by like crazy! Finals are finally over and I'm back with my family just in time for Christmas! Here's what happened though before I got where I am.
Last Friday my friend and I went to Oakland to find a bite to eat. We tried out this place called Solo Pizza and each ordered a meatball sandwich. I was so happy to find this on their menu because I've been craving meatballs like crazy lately!
The inside had a very unique decor...
Yummy yummy yummy!
In addition to giving us their menu they also gave us the menu for the restaurant next door, which had way better prices and more food choices! I'm not really sure why they did that because I would think that would direct business away. Oh well! We're going to try that restaurant another time!
There's been a lot of fog by the lake lately!
On Saturday a giant group from my floor went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Bucks game on TV. Although I'm not really into basketball I went with them because I had nothing better to do and actually had a pretty good time!
These are my absolute favorite thing from Buffalo Wild Wings (I've had them once, so obviously they're already my favorite...) but I didn't order them due to budget constraints. I want to try making them on my own sometime over winter break!
A friend and I split the personal size chicken wings with honey barbecue sauce. They came with free carrots and dip! I forgot that I like chicken wings.
My recipes board on Pinterest is getting so crowded. After I got back I looked for wing recipes and added about 15 to my board. When I'm in the mood for a specific food the pinning sprees just can't be stopped...
The Bucks won the basketball game! Everyone there was really excited, and even though I'm not into sports I'm glad Milwaukee's team won rather than whoever it was they were playing.
There were also a lot of cage fights on TV. I wasn't into that at all. Half the time they're jumping around in a circle and the other half it looks like they're awkwardly hugging one another to the cage wall. It was just weird to me...
When we got back to the dorm my suitemates had set up a little Christmas tree made with clippings from my friend's family's tree stuck into a cylinder of Styrofoam! It's so cute!!
On Sunday I went to church and when I got back I started packing for winter break. How to pack for a month and a half long break?? I had no idea what I needed to bring back at the time and now that I'm home I don't know if I need everything I brought or if I left important things back in Milwaukee. I'll see by the end of break though!
Still foggy out there (or up here since I live way at the top of the tower)!
Some food and beverage purchases I made in an attempt to eat a little healthier. Healthy eating has not been me at all lately!
Now the last few days of first semester are coming to an end! I stayed in Milwaukee only until Friday and only had one lecture to attend. Then the wait for finals...I wasn't worried though. That will probably be next semester.
All in all I think that my first semester at college went pretty well! There were ups and downs but the positive outweighed the negative.
A month ago I made sticky notes with all the rest of my assignments for the semester. Now they're all crossed off and it feels wonderful!
Hi my name is Emilee and I am a kinesiology undergraduate student. These are my adventures as a young adult living in Milwaukee. Here I will share my experiences as I navigate through college. Thanks for stopping by!
