At the beginning of fall semester 2017, I was struggling to find the "perfect" planner. None of the stores I looked at had anything that interested me. I was looking for something with ample space that I could literally record everything in. After seeing many of these planners around campus and hearing good reviews from their owners, I decided to invest in one of my own. I paid $35 plus shipping, which I thought was expensive at first, but it covered August 2016 through December 2017, so I'll be good for quite awhile. Below is a look inside the planner.
The front and back of the planner has a simple but elegant floral print with an elastic ribbon to hold the book shut. I bought the large size which measures roughly 8in x 10in.
The first page inside the planner has a pocket that I often tuck notes into. It has an inspirational quote to add some "feel good" vibes.
The pocket page is two-sided. The page after that is for claiming ownership over your planner.
The pages after that contain stickers! As you might be able to see, I've already used a couple! They add a fun splash of color to the pages of your planner.
The second page of stickers.
After the stickers is a cute message from the planner's designers.
These pages have a calendar overview for the next two years!
The right edge has colorful tabs to help you navigate the planner. My only complaint with the tabs is that they aren't laminated, white makes them a little flimsy.
Followed by the yearly calendars is a space to write down important events for the year.
Next are two pages of holidays. In addition to the ones we're familiar, they've also included a bunch of lesser-known holidays to celebrate as well. I participated in National Taco Day last fall.
Then the months start. Each month has its own piece of colorful art work that usually fits in the theme of the month.
Here is what the monthly overview pages look like. The colors are soft and the design is simple. Important dates are highlighted and the left page contains both an area for notes and a mini calendar of the previous and upcoming months.
Each month has two pages of notes. On the bottom of the second note page is a secret message from the planner's designers. Something I forgot to photograph is the visual key of what each symbol stands for. This is a fun element that the creators decided to include.
This is the weekly overview. I love that there is ample space for the weekdays were I can write all my assignment due dates for the semester in addition to my work schedule and appointments.
At the end of the planner are eight pages for all the note taking to suite your needs.
More notes and signatures from the creators. I love how they styled their names individually.
The very last page is a reminder about fun. If you need any more proof that is what they are serious about, check out their website.
This is the end of the planner. I am enjoying mine tremendously and am happy that it will last a long time. Because I am taking summer classes, this planner will have lasted me four semesters. I purchased this year and a half planner back in September, but because the New Year has started they are currently only offering for the year of 2017. If you want a longer one you will have to wait until summer. So far I am very fond of this planner. If you have any experiences with the planner, please feel free to share your opinions below!
